Embossed Leaves

 Hey Everybody,

This card is for a mixed media challenge. You can find the challenge here

I dry embossed my white cardstock with a Tim Holtz leaf embossing folder. Then I pulled  pumpkin pie, crushed curry and poppy parade ink pads across the embossed side of the paper. Then I used My Derwent watercolor pencils to add bits of color around the leaves and on the leaf veins. I used a blender pen to blend the watercolor pencil on the leaves. I cut out  soft suede and so saffron for my Hugs die sentiment and layered them. This will go on a patient dinner tray at a local hospital.

Keywords: MIX660 fall leaves
Stamps: n/a
Paper: white, soft suede, so saffron
Paper Size: A2
Ink: crushed curry, pumpkin pie, poppy parade
Accessories: Hugs die, blender pen, Derwent watercolor pencils, Tim Holtz leaf embossing folder
Techniques: direct to paper, water coloring, dry embossing
I am seeing that's mixed media cards aren't as difficult to make as I originally thought.
How about you? Do you make mixed media cards?
I always thought they had to be messy to be mixed media. No so, to my surprise.
Thanks for spending some time with me.
Blessings,
Sue
