A Weekend Away....ahhhhh

It's been a wonderful weekend away from home.  Tim and I are at a Bed and Breakfast in Berea Called Riverside Gables.  If you want to be spoiled for an evening or two this is the place. If you want to be pampered for an evening or a weekend, this is the place to go.  It was a truly relaxing place to go, even if it was only 15 minutes from home. :)

We had a beautiful room in the upstairs of the turret of the house.  It also has a common area which is amazing. You can have coffee from a keurig coffee maker.  You also get goodies throughout the day.  Coffee cake, chocolate chip cookies, fruit and chocolate mix. We had an amazing breakfast this morning. We told her a simple breakfast would be eggs and bacon.  We had a formal dining room set up with eggs, bacon, red potatoes and tomatoes.  Toast with jam or fig jelly. Tim got a mushroom omelette and asparagus on the side. We also had coffee and could have had juice of any kind we wanted.
For dessert, yes I said dessert, we had a date muffin with a creamy butter cream frosting on top.  We didn't need lunch after all of this food for breakfast.

This is the common area where you can lounge, eat, drink, and read.  So comfy on that leather couch.
Here is the food and beverage area.  There is  Keurig with all the coffee you can drink, an electric tea pot, a fridge with water, pop, beer and wine.
This is the other side of the common area with wing chairs and tables.
This is a cool room, but not able to be a bedroom due to the windows. Aren't they great?  They are too narrow to provide an exit so the Fire Dept. said they couldn't have occupants in this room.
This is the goodies dish.  In the morning and evening there would be goodies of some sort on this plate.  The cover is heavy but worth it to lift it.  We had cookies, muffins, a fruit and nut mix , almonds and all sorts of yummy things waiting for us.

Sunday morning during breakfast in the formal dining room.
This is the fruit cup we started with.  A great variety of fresh fruit.
This is one part of our room.
Here was my favorite part of the room.  We were in the turret section of the house and could look out into the park.  Of course there was a road there too, but a nice view.
This is a cute table for two at the other end of the dining room.  The main table seats 6, then this table for two.

We went to the the movie Oz.  I liked it, Tim didn't.

After the movie, we went to a nursery called Uncle John's Plant Farm.  We got a few plants with pots to put them in.  I love buying hyacinths and we found one with three different colors in one pot.

We then went to  Grand Pacific Junction to shop a bit.  It is a quaint shopping area in Olmsted Falls.
I can't believe Tim posed for this.
Next we went to Macaroni Grill for dinner.  Then I got to go to Archivers.  I made a cute bunny basket there.

We arrived home at the bed and breakfast tired and ready to rest.
There is a cute Golden Retriever named Max living here.  He is a puppy but looks full grown.  He barks for attention and is cute as a button!   The owners kept apologizing for his barking.  I giggled each time he barked cuz he just wanted some lovin!

We're finally home and it was wonderful to only drive 15 minutes to get there.  We felt like we were in another world being there this weekend.
Blessing of the Day: We got to spend time with each other without kids.
Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
