Friends, Ya Can't Beat Them!

This is the Bible Verse Box I made for my assistant's birthday. She liked the one I made for myself so I made one for her using plum and Summer by the Sea Scrapbook paper(retired). The paper made the perfect background for my stamped verses. I had to add my signature verse to the box as shown here: Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and he will make your path straight. I used the paper from this scrapbook kit to make the dividers and tabs at the top. The idea came from here:
This was CASED from Rainy's directions found here:http://rainy.blogs.splitcoaststamper...psalms-119105/
It is a Bible Verse Challenge started by Lori Craig found here:http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/fo...d.php?t=314077
This is the front of the box which has brads to hold the Bible memorization card that is on display for the month. The idea is to keep it displayed and memorize it. The next month another handmade verse card goes up and you memorize that one. Isn't that a wonderful way to combine two loves? Thanks Lori!

This is the first Bible verse card I made for my assistant. I was tickled when I saw that I could use my favorite flowers for a verse that came from the heart for her. There's nothing like teaching with a partner who is Christian........Can you imagine praying yourselves through problems while at work? Not until 3 years ago did I have the joy of doing that. God is good, oh so good!

On SCS there are forums for stamp companies where you can post questions and participate in chats. Well this Kitchen Sink set called Hydrangeas called me when I first saw it. When I asked what 4 colors ladies put together to make these fabulous flowers I got some wonderful suggestions. One of the ladies Beth-My Precious gave me some gorgeous suggestions. I put a card together using the large flower and her colors. Oh my, I can't wait to try her other suggestions for this set. I masked the flower so the leaves would look like they were underneath the flower. I think this looks so elegant. These were made for our PTA President who needed some thank you cards. I made these along with the Blossoms Abound lilacs below.

Here's one stamp set I'll never stop using, Blossoms Abound. Our PTA President needed some thank you cards so I made these and the hydrangeas above for her.

My upline gave me a couple samples of this card in which the center flower is laser cut and left in the card. You decide what to pull out. I stamped the new stamp set over the flower and removed the petals. Not sure I like the lettering though, looks like I moved the stamp when I stamped. This was for SCS challenge to use a stamp instead of hardware. I used my black flowers instead of brads or eyelets.

That's it for tonight. Seems there's so much to do near the end of the school year. May God continue to be by your side and help with your every need.
Bless you for stopping by to my corner of the world.
