Here are some pictures of the outside, inside and top side views. We noticed that the top of the lighthouse isn't centered. Here are Ben and Sarah at the foot of the lighthouse.
Check out the inside of this place as we climb the many thin steps to the top. This is not an easy climb.
Here is the view from the top. You can see the forest, river and marsh lands that are on this island. What an interesting mixture of vegetation.
Only golf carts are allowed on the island. The speed limit is 18 mph. Our cart doesn't even get that! You drive these carts with the pedal to the metal and you're maybe going 15 mph over hills and down hills. LOL
There are many oddly shaped trees like this around here. Many have moss hanging from them.
After the tough walk to the top, Tim and I were grateful to be back at the house to watch the setting sun. The sun sets about 5 p.m. then stays light for another half hour or so.Thanks for stopping by today. I continue to count my blessings here.
