This came a the most perfect time for me. Sometimes I get tired and begin to believe Satan's lies. It's at that time that I need to go to my positive friends. They have God as their anchor and can help me become grounded in Christ again. Sometimes it takes longer than others to do this. Sometimes I just sit in this beat up state for a while. I need to pray that God will help me find that way out faster so that I don't suffer and can be a light for Him.
So guess what God brought to our front yard? Baby bunnies with no fur! Yup, they are so new they look like this. Tim saw an area in the grass that had dead grass and went to check it out. There were many bunnies wiggling around in there. I'm praying that the neighbor's cat doesn't find them. I've never seen bunnies this little before. They've always had fur. They look like hamsters except for their ears. Their little eyes are still closed too.
The first three sunflowers you see I made tonight for the clean and simple challenge. I embossed in white then used inks and daubers to give this color. I cut one of the sunflowers in half and made smaller versions of thank you notes which will go out to ladies who have donated cards to The Cleveland Ronald McDonald House this month.
This was made Sunday for the Featured Stamper challenge. I really like the ruffled ribbon added to this. I don't usually add two ribbons but liked the way this looked. The yellow ribbon is the new Honey color from Stampin' Up.
Love the Splitcoaststampers Challenges. This was for new techniques. You needed to use border punches and/or border dies to layer for your background. I chose a Martha Stewart punch and SU's scalloped edgelit. The flowers are from Sweet N Sassy which were colored to match the papers.
This poster helps me to remember what I need to do when I am down. Go to God first and allow Him to fight for me.
Saturday we enjoyed a Craig Family gathering here at our house. The kids swam in the pool. The grownups talked, ate, and played cards. Tim's aunt and uncle from North Carolina visited and got to see the whole family in one afternoon.
We will all see each other again in two weeks when Tim's nephew, Brandon gets married.
The nice thing about these gatherings is that there isn't drama! Some families have lots of drama and stress at gatherings and they leave you wondering why you attend them if the same thing happens time after time.
Blessing of the Day: Helping first graders make cards to give to the residents of a nursing home that we will visit tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping tonight.
Blessings,
