Hey Everybody,
I'm still trying to use up my scraps. I used paper from one of my favorite paper packs called, Perennial Lavender.
I created two cards using strips of designer series paper. The other two cards were made using squares that were cut diagonally to make a pattern. I copied a pattern that I saw online. These too were dry embossed with embossing folders to give them more texture and look more like quilts. Here's what you do. Cover a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" paper with some sort of adhesive. I used an adhesive sheet. You could use double sided tape. Don't use glue. Randomly place the paper onto the card stock. Then sprinkle embossing powder over the card base. Between the paper where the tape is will pick up the embossing powder. Heat it and you have a cool looking card. I also found that some of the powder spread to other areas of the card and I have sprinklings of gold on different sections which looks like I planned it! LOL
Well, let me know what you think and if you've tried any of these ways to use up your scraps of designer series paper.
