This weekend I spent putting together a dvd that was about 50 minutes long. It was made up of music, transitions and pictures of the students in the graduating class from K-6th grade. The 6th grade section was about 25 minutes long. The parents were asked to send in pictures which were scanned, and put onto a dvd. This will be a gift to the graduating class and teacher from our family. This is a private school and there are 14 students in my son's graduating class.
I also finished making gifts for the teachers. The kid's teachers got a spider plant in a small pot. I used SU stickers from the little tin to decorate the pots. The spider plant is important because Ben got the plant at his preschool graduation as a symbol of the growth he'd done in preschool. I've kept that thing alive and it had lots of spider babies. So, I made sure each teacher got one with a card that explained the meaning behind the spider plant. I hope they realize how much they affect our children's lives.
Each teacher got a decorated bag, which my daughter and I used wheels to decorate quickly. The bags hold 6 handmade cards, the spider plant and a small goodie bag filled with candy, tea, and little things to help keep their energy level up for the last two days of school! I will post pictures soon.
