Inspiring Lilacs

One of the many challenges I like to do on SCS is the inspiration challenge. In this challenge you look at a picture of something and design a card which is inspired by what you are looking at.

This is my card for Inspiration challenge 188. This is the dress which inspired this card.

I used one of my fav retired sets, blossoms abound with amethyst and lilac inks. I used celery and olive for the leaves. Once stamped I put it through the cuttlebug then the crimper, then the cuttlebug again. I added the orange strip to the bottom like the bottom layer in the dress. I cut off some of the flower paper and added it to the inside of the card so it looks layered. I added celery ribbon and the Thinking of you with a dimensional.

This has been a busy busy day. My husband and I cleaned and got ready for my sister and her husband and daughter to visit for lunch. I don't get to see my sister, who is also my fraternal twin too often since she lives in Milwaukee. So I'm off to visit with her and her family.
Ben and Sarah will be picked up later this afternoon after their short-term missions trip to West Virginia. I can't wait to see them!
Hope you're enjoying your weekend and thanks for stopping by!
Blessings to you and yours.

Adorable!! Using the Cuttlebug folder was a perfect way to achieve that "ruffle" affect! Great thinking!!
