Jewelry, Casing and Brick Walls, Oh My!

I got my Stampin' Up Jewelry Friday and I finally had time to put something in them.  Take a look and tell me what you think.  I used Pocket Silhouettes stamped in navy then I added 2-way glue and iridescent ice, then heated it.  I love the sparkle of it.  The background is stamped in pretty-in-pink.  I like the navy on top of that for the pretty contrast.

The next things I started working on for my workshop were cards that started with a sample from the Idea Book and Catalog.  Here's my interpretation of what was on page 96.  I just wanted a starting point and sometimes that's all you need when you're stuck and don't know how to get started on a card.

The first card I did by stamping off to get a lighter flower.  the second one I colored with markers then stamped on the vanilla cardstock.  I added the butterfly to show off my new punch.

Today on SCS the challenge was to do the brick wall technique.  This is only the second time I've done this technique.  I have to say I felt more comfortable this time doing it.  I stamped a small image and then cut it up into little pieces.  I like to work with plum and pale plum.
Look at the beautiful card I got from Debbi R. The J stands for Jesus, O stands for Others, Y stands for You. I can't believe how much detail went into this beautiful card. Thanks so much Debbi! Your kids are precious too.

We've been off today for Martin Luther King Day.  What a wonderful time to sit back, relax, stamp and think about the next day off in February for President's Day.  Sorry Hope! LOL

Wow! What a wonderful group of projects. The jewelry is awesome and I love your cards. Inking up the rubber with a marker is one of my favorite techniques, and it worked beautifully on your big ole flowers.
