Here's a short video clip of their visit.
It really was a fun day. It started with Who Let The Dogs Out, We sang that when they came through the door. Then our school sang another song Get Up and Move which our music teacher wrote and taught all of the kids. One of the Brown's players picked up a microphone and started to sing with the kids.
They were really nice guys and the kids were so impressed with the visit.
Here's the article that was on the Cleveland Brown's site.
Here is a picture of the players. They discovered if they said, "Give me 5. and SLANT," the students would sit up and be quiet. :-)
It was an exciting day at our school. It's so nice to see how teams like this give back to the community. Three of the four players said they'd be teachers if they weren't football players.
I'm so excited that Colt McCoy will be speaking at Grace Church Monday November 15, 2010. Check out the article here. I've seen some of his short videos where he gives glory to God for his performance in a game.
That's the kind of role model we need for our kids.
I am so thankful that there are still sports figures who are good for kids. I'm thankful for all the blessings we've had today from God. How about you?
