We had a ton of rain fall overnight along with thunder and lightning. It made for waking throughout the night which is always fun when you've gone to bed at 12 and need to get up at 6!
We had flooding through out backyard which removed some of our mulch and donated it to our neighbor next door.
The water continued down to the end of the street where it accumulated in the street giving us a large pond to drive through.
Ben's bus never made it to our home so I had to drive him to school. The street I took was closed half-way up because of all of the water pouring down the street. I felt like I was driving one of those amphibian vehicles, all the while praying the van wouldn't stall.......
Sarah's bus came without a problem and all of the water was gone by then, which is about an hour later than Ben's bus.
Thankfully our house is at the top of our street so no water in the house. Unfortunately my assistant Patti, had water in her basement. Not sure how much, but she said Fred was using the shop vac to clean it up.
I am a bit stressed having to get my state testing reports ready to ship out tomorrow. God is with me I know.
Tim came across this video and it had us laughing;just what I needed.
Check it out: Laughing Baby
I just got my SAB order from Stampin up. I can't believe the only time I had was to empty the box and put things away! That's just not fair~
I've got to get my Bible reading in tonight. I was so quickly out the door with Ben this morning that I never had time to do that.
I hope you're warm and dry where you are.
Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
This is a place where I can share my love of family, stamping and the Lord.
