In The Shelter of Each Other We Will Live

Isn't that a wonderful title? It's one of Jars of Clay's songs that I heard today and loved the words.
See what you think:

Here is another popular song that has the Lord's Prayer in the middle of it. I uploaded the video before, but this one has the lyrics.

I've had a fun weekend which started Thursday.
Thursday we dropped kids off for a partial weekend where they went to Believe, which is a youth event just for middle school students. Ben went as a Sr. High advisor.
After dropping the kids off for their trip, Tim and I went to dinner at Panera Bread.  I love getting their Pick 2. I get a half of a turkey sandwich and whatever kind of soup I'm in the mood for.  Sometimes it's so hard to choose which one I want.
Tim had to get home since he had to get tanks ready for a deliver of 20 fish.
I also had to get ready for work the next day.
Friday night we had a date night.  We went to see the  movie, Unknown then had an Italian dinner out in Strongsville at Italian Village.  It was a great meal.  Unknown was a good movie in that you didn't know what was going on so there was a mystery about it.  I didn't like all of the car chase stuff and violence.  It was a great guys movie.
Saturday evening we made red pepper linguini and had it with salads.  This is one of my favorite kinds of pasta.  At the restaurant I asked if they had red pepper linguini, but they didn't.  So when Tim went shopping Saturday morning he bought some at Heinens.  Sweet huh?
We had a nice dinner and had some time to spend just chilling out together before getting kids.
Sunday brought church, our class then lots of paperwork.  Tons to do which makes a long weekend a battle to do the work and relax.
I got most of my Alternate Assessments done.  I have two small parts left to do.
Today I got some work done, stamped with a friend, and now I'm waiting to see how much snow we'll get.  We got ice overnight and I have some pictures.

I also found some footprints going across my front doorstep.
I got a darling card with candy from Rose last week.  Take a look at it. I just love the sparkly hearts.
Here's my version of her card.  We used some SU retired designer paper and the hearts of course.Cherry Cobbler cardstock was used here.

Here's the inside of the card I made using Rose's idea.  Instead of making a envelope to put things in, I put paper inside and have made this a card.  I came across this stamp, Bless Your Little Heart, which was donated, and thought it would be perfect for this card.
This is a card made with Dawn's weaving for the corner. It's a simple card, but that's what I needed today.
Here are a few other cards I made last weekend for our card sale at church. I made a couple of masculine cards then some cards for the ladies to get for their sweetheart for Valentine's Day.

I also made a card this week using some left-overs that needed to be put together into a card. The daffodil will be used for some of the Card Ministry Easter Cards. I am trying to use up some of my old SU designer paper.  It's so hard sometimes to use the stuff and get rid of it.  I keep buying faster than I use the stuff.  LOL I'm sure you don't have that problem right?

Sorry for the long post. I need to get back to paperwork for my education plans for students.  Another lengthy report the state needs.  I wish the state would stop finding more papers for me to fill in and find a way to fund education that doesn't strangle the local cities and their neighborhoods. They mandate things yet don't have the funding, and tell us to do it anyway!  What kind of system is that!?  Don't get me started....................Blessings for stopping by.  We have snow now falling once again.  Not sure how much we're supposed to get.  Kids are already praying for a long-long weekend!
