Snow Day 2 Here In The Cleveland Area

Can you believe that my kids want another snow day?  I know we're back to school tomorrow for sure.  I had today to design and cut paper and organize the cards we're going to make at Summit Point Friday.  The request was Valentine's Day and Kid birthday.
Here are the cards I made today.  I had to make them simple to make.  I pre-cut the cupcakes and the larger circle.  The larger circle has two sides so they can decide which one they'd like to use.
This second card has the small and large tags punched out as well as the words.  All they have to do is color it, put the eyelet in and put the card together.
This card seems elegant to me.  I put the red cardstock through the cuttlebug already and have cut out the white hearts which meant another trip through the cuttlebug.  All they have to do is stamp the words, use the punch then put the card together.  I also have thin computer to mount on the inside.  That way if they make a mistake on the inside stamping, it doesn't ruin their whole card. (We're learning! LOL)
This is the last card I made today.  It was for the sketch challenge on SCS.  I haven't played this is a while and had fun with it.  I turned the sketch on it's side to make it work for the lighthouse I used.  This was colored with watercolor crayons and an aquapainter.  The background and the image were put through the cuttlebug  with an embossing folder.
Sunday in our membership class we were talking about our spiritual gifts. My gifts are empathy and administration.  I have several card ministries going on right now so I'm not going to take on anymore.  It was interesting to see that Tim's is giving.  We're taught our kids that if they see a need, to try to fill it.  If they can't to come to us.
Sarah came to us about a girl in her youth group that wouldn't get to go to Believe which is a jr. high weekend led by people who do this just for jr. high kids giving them what they need as far as music, entertainment and workshops that will help them grow spiritually.  It is so wonderful to be able to tell the jr. high pastor that we would pay for this girl's trip.  I thank God and praise Him for giving to us so we can give to others.  I pray that we will continue to be able to help others here and around the world through the missions we support.
Right now our family also supports three World Vision children.  What a great way to get kids to see how different life is around the world.  They have first hand knowledge about what these kids live's are like.
I pray that you will begin to see needs around you and see what you can do for people.  It doesn't have to cost anything but your time...........see someone who needs a smile, or help carrying something.  It's that easy.
Challenge yourself to make your place in the world a little bit brighter by the things you say and do for others.

I have been listening to a lot of Christian music in the past few days and came upon a song I liked.  Give it a listen and see what you think.

Well it's time to get ready for work tomorrow.  Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,

The gator in that first card reminds me of the Allegheny College gator. That's where I got my undergraduate degree.

I took a spiritual gifts test a few years ago. My strengths were administration and encouragement. Gonna have to examine that again. I stepped down as MOPS coordinator last year and need to find my "place" again.
