This has been one of the most stressful weeks I've ever had at work. I've hahad to have education plans done for several students. That takes a while on it's own. I had to have two student re-evaluated by our pshychologist since it's something the students have to have every three years. Our psychologist is a behavior specialist for the school district as well and it appears there is too much on her plate. A week ago her MIL died so she was out for that. The long and short of it is, we have 17 page reports that we need her testing information to add to our report then write the goals and objectives for the student's next year. These reports came in the day before the meeting, which is the same day we send the report home to the parent. Friday I got the last of the information I needed for the report at 2:50. Students leave at 3:15.
That has taken a lot of my time this week. I had 4 ladies coming to make cards Friday and after dinner at 5:15 I was still designing two of the four cards. Ben was helping by cutting paper for me. What a blessing he was.
We made 3 cards and on 3-D item.
This is one of 4 cards for Friday's Ladies Card making night. This was the medallian stamp with razzleberry stamped on daffodil. I stamped the bird on white paper then used the bird punch. I added pear ribbon and finished!
This is a gift card holder that I made using the Ice Cream Shoppe paper and borders. I cut a base then added designer paper to the front of the card. The ribbon ties around the envelope to keep the card holder closed. It slides down so you can open the card. Inside you can stamp on the top flap, or stamp on the pull out card included with this.
This is a card we made Friday night when ladies came to stamp. We stamped the tree in pear pizzaz. We sponged cajun craze softly around the edge. We used the paper piercer to make the corners. The background was put through the cuttlebug. We used the large and wide oval punches.
This was stamped with stazon black ink then colored with markers. It's just the right size for beginners. I used this to show ladies how by using a light and dark colored marker they could get a more interesting look when coloring. This was backed with black cardstock. The pink card was embossed using my cuttlebug. A strip of yellow was embossed with little dots and scalloped with the scallop border punch. Thanks was colored with markers to get two colors. Dimensionals were used to attach all of the pieces.
Blessings,
