My Benjamanny was born 17 years ago at 9:50 p.m. He was due on Valentine's Day but didn't want to come out. We used to tell him that (because I had a C-section) the doctor went in there to pull him out and he hung on and didn't want to come out. He'd laugh at the thought of the Dr. pulling him out and him holding on inside. Ben's become a very sensitive young man. It's wonderful and hard to see him grow up so fast. I know he needs to live his own life, but a small part of me wants to still be needed so much like when I rocked him in the rocker to comfort him. I remember the sleepless nights and how tired I was, but it all seemed worth it the first time he smiled at me. I cried, because it was the first time 'he gave back'. Ya know what I mean? Up until they smile all you do is take care of them. His smile lite up my life!
Ben's planning on going to College at a Christian college in Georgia. He will get a missionary degree then go to South Africa to be a missionary. Right now Georgia sounds far away.....However graduation, S.Africa will be far away. It's all relative.
Thank you Lord for allowing Tim and I to raise this sensitive young man for you. He was dedicated to you years ago. I praise you for your wisdom and guidance for our kids. It's a tough job and I'm so glad you are sharing the path with us.
What a great reminder to us of who our Creator is and His power.
Bless you for stopping by. I've got to get my make it take it ready.
Blessings,
