I saw a sample of these cards when a friend gave me cards for Southwest Hospital this month. Thank you Louise for sharing this idea with me. I researched and found that Patty Bennett had made a card like this using a now retired Top Note Die. I have that die so I was able to make a set of cards. 1 top note die makes 2 cards.
I didn't have all the punches that Patty had so I improvised. Here's what I used.
Use 1 ¼” circle punch ½” from straight edge .
Dsp for stockings ¾” x 3”
½” circle punch ball on shoe
Large scallop circle punch for ankle decoration
Diagonal stripe embossing folder on the white cardstock. You could use any embossing folder that is holiday like.
I played around with different colors for stockings as well and liked the yellow striped card too.
I still have to add a sentiment but wanted to share this quick and easy idea in case you need an idea for a cute card.
If you try this, I'd love if you'd share it.
Blessings,
Sue
