I have been making baby cards for Southwest General Hospital. All of the stamps I used are from Colorado Craft Company.
I experimented with different types of designer series paper.
This first card was made with strips of retired SU paper cut into 1/4" strips and laid out like a herringbone pattern. I added images with dimensionals so they'd stand out a bit from the background. What you might now be able to see is that I put this through the Cute Crochet 3D embossing folder to make it look like a quilt.
This is a great way to use up scraps of designer series paper!
The next image was colored with Copic markers and Yellow Wink of Stella. I liked this stamp set since it used animals like these mice instead of the cute typical animals for baby cards.
The last cards were colored with Copic Markers. On two of them I used our new Plaid designer series paper. I played around with using both sides of the paper together. I like how well the both look together. Again, none of these papers are typical baby papers. I also try to make cards that can be used for either a boy or girl baby. That makes it easier for the people using the cards.
I hope I've given you some ideas to use for your card making. Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
Sue
