Hey Everybody,
I've been busy doing some of the challenges on Splitcoaststampers today. Each day of the week there are challenges for card making. The nice thing about these is that it stretches your comfort zone, gets you to use your supplies and teaches you new things.
Here's my card. This will be donated to a local hospital.
I put the acrylic block into the ink then spritzed it with water and stamped on my cardstock. When the inked blocks were dry, I stamped the flower image and the sentiment.
Inside it reads ...is being sure of what we cannot see
The next two cards were made with the Stampin' Up designer series paper called Thoughtful Journey. I continue to look for ways to use up my designer series paper scraps.
The first card was a panel that I cut apart then glued it to a piece of peacock glimmer paper. The card base was dry embossed with the Fern 3D embossing folder.
Begin with a piece of designer series paper that is 2 3/4" x 4".
First cut is at 1". Turn this strip and cut at 2 1/2". So your top strip is 1" x 2 1/2" and the bottom piece is 1" x 1 1/2".
Take the next strip and cut it at 1 3/4". Your top piece on the right side is 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" and the bottom piece is 1 3/4" x 2 1/4".
Glimmer paper is 3" x 4 1/4"
I used a piece of pretty peacock that is 4" x 5 1/4" and dry embossed with the 3D Fern embossing folder.
That layer was placed on a white card base. The sentiment is from Unbounded Love stamp set. I used a retired border die to add the scallops below the sentiment. I added a bit of ribbon to the corner and used a sponge dauber to color the outline of the sentiment tag.
The next card uses the same sized papers without cutting the image panel. Instead of cardstock behind the glimmer paper, I used a piece of the Thoughtful Journey designer series paper. Then I added it to a white card base. I used an alcohol marker to color the white ribbon to match the glimmer paper.
