Inspiration Challenges

 Hey Everybody,

Here's another inspiration challenge. The challenge can be found here.

The inspiration I used is this.

I changed the direction of the card, the stamps, the colors and the sentiment. I kept the technique the same. I started by blending pink, blue, yellow and green onto white cardstock. Next I stamped the onesies on the background with versamark. I added white embossing powder and heat set it. I stamped and die cut the onesie then colored it and added the pocket, and stamping on the onesie. I die cut the onesie and the little pieces that go with it. How cool that the onesie is cut at the neck so your hanger can go right in to hang the onesie up. I colored the neck line and cuffs different colors. I added the colored die cut pieces then the sentiment. I purposely used 4 different baby colors because this is being donated to a local hospital to use. If it is generic like this, it can be used for a boy or girl which makes it easier for them.

Linda's having us walk back through the galleries today to choose our featured stamper. We were to choose between 48-70. I chose Michelle Woerner whose splitcoast name is sf9erfan. Here is Linda's Challenge.

Here is the inspiration for my card.

I was drawn by the square which I immediately saw as a window for something. I used different stamps and instead of stenciling and adding paste for texture, I used a brick embossing folder. Instead of circles behind my critter, I added flowered curtains that he's peeking out of. I added a simple sentiment on designer paper instead of stamping on the cardstock. Then I added a few butterflies similar to the sequins that Michelle added. This will go on a patient dinner tray at a local hospital.

Well, you've seen two inspiration choices and my version. Take a look at the galleries and see what you can come up with.

Once you make that card, send it to someone or donate it to a nursing home or hospital and really make someone's day.
See you again soon.
