Hey Everybody,
Today is a new technique to me. Jean's challenge is to stamp through a stencil. It can be found here.
I used the Tim Holtz Splatters layering stencil
and stamped the group of beans and the splatter from Latte Love through the stencil.
I used Broken China Distress Ink
over the beans and splatters and added clear embossing powder on top of that. Then I added Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
over the white cardstock. I put copper clay ink on my glass mat and added water then splattered it on my card background. I used my heat tool to dry it.
I stamped the mug using a stamp positioner then placed my silicone mat in my stamp positioner and stamped the mug on it. Then I placed my paper on top of that and pushed down on the stamp positioner to get the image on my balmy blue card stock. I traced the mugs with a Copic Marker. I stamped the heart cream and cut it out and added it to both mugs. I added clear Wink of Stella to them. I added some 'coffee' to my spoon and set it down near the mugs. I added the mugs with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment then added the fun coffee-colored dots. This will go on a dinner tray at a local hospital.
Have you ever done reverse stamping? It's also called Mirror Stamping. Do you know what it is?
Reverse image stamping is a crafting technique that creates a mirrored version of a stamped image by transferring ink from the stamp to a surface like a silicone mat or acetate, and then pressing the final cardstock onto that inked surface. This is useful for making images face each other or for a variety of design purposes by adding versatility to a stamp set.
Here's a video to show you how to do this.
