Hey Everybody,
We're making cards following prompts using the alphabet. This week the letter is L-stained glass or oil lamp. I chose to color my stained glass lamp with pastel Copic Marker colors. I used my Jellyroll gold pen to trace the lines between the glass pieces. I used the Zig brush in gold, to color the lamp and the top of the lamp. I used gold paper and dry embossed it to help make the lamp look more old fashioned. I like it much better with embossing on the gold paper than plain. I added the lamp with dimensionals. The gold was added to black and the black was added to petal pink.

Stamps: digital image
Paper: petal pink, white, black, gold
Paper Size: A2
Ink: n/a
Accessories: SU Country Floral embossing folder, Zig gold brush marker, jellyroll gold pen, Copic Markers
Techniques: dry embossing, coloring
The background looked so plain so I used dry embossing on it and I really love how it turned out.
This card will go on a dinner tray at a local hospital.
Have you needed to make a card for something and you didn't have a stamp to make it? What did you do? That's when I look online for line drawings that I can trace or otherwise manipulate.
This weekly alphabet challenge is really a challenge since all of the things are antiques. Do you have stamps for any of these items which were challenges?
quill
ink well
butter churn
gramaphone
ink well
hat pin
I didn't either, so I had to try to figure out what to do for these. Here are some of the cards I made for those.
Ink Well
Jam Jar
Hat Pin
Gramaphone
DoilySo, for me this is the hardest challenge I participate in weekly. I do enjoy trying to find something I want to use. For the last card, I had the doily stamp and knew I had a tea cup and tea bag to use.
So that's a look into what I do for these weekly challenges. Maybe you have some ideas of what I can use for some that are coming up.
straight razor
vanity bowl
xylograph
zenith radio
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope to see you again soon.
Blessings,
Sue
