Stamping With Tape? Really

 Hey Everybody,

I'm back again with another challenge card. Karen's challenge is to make plaid and can be found here.

Keywords: TLC1075 woodland creatures
Stamps: Unity-Windowsill Woodlands
Paper: white, pecan pie
Paper Size: A2
Ink: pineapple punch, pumpkin pie, pecan pie
Accessories: Sharpie black pen, Copic Markers, SU-Tiny Bee Trinkets, circle die, SU-retired Woodgrain embossing folder, Washi tape
Techniques: inking with tape, plaid

I started by tapping a piece of washi tape into pineapple punch ink, then placing it on my cardstock. I did this all across my cardstock. Next I used the same washi tape and made lines of pumpkin pie ink the opposite way across the card.
Next I drew black lines vertical and horizontal on the card front. I colored and cut out the animals. I embossed pecan pie cardstock so it would look like a fallen tree. One cutie is peeking out on the side and one from inside. I added the sentiment and images with dimensionals. Lastly, I added the little bees which if turned to the back look like butterflies. This will go on a dinner tray at a local hospital.

Have you ever 'stamped' by dipping tape into ink, then putting that tape on your card?  It's kind of fun but has the possibility to be messy. It is a good way to make a quick background. Sometimes I like having something other than designer series paper for a background, you know?
Well, I hope you give this technique a try.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Blessings,
Sue
