Using Negatives?

 Hey Everybody,

We're blanketed in snow today and the schools are closed. Whether as a kid or a teacher the two words you loved to hear this time of year were, SNOW DAY!

Maybe many parents were happy because they could go back to sleep if they didn't have to be at work. Otherwise as a parent you could be upset because now you either have to call off work, or find someone to watch your children.

Being a teacher, I didn't have that problem. When I was off, my kids were off.

On to today's card. Today's card is for a sketch challenge. Here is the sketch. As you can see there is a heart on the card base.

If you look closely at my card you'll see that I cut a heart out of the designer series paper and placed the negative section left when the die was removed, onto my card base.  It's a great way to make sure that all of your paper is used.

If this was your project, you might be tempted to toss this designer paper because it looks like a scrap. Well, it is a useful scrap that goes very well with this layout.  It's a great way to get more bang for your buck with your paper and more cards too.  I used the negative for this card, and the heart that was cut out for another card.

It's just another way to look at your scraps and how you can use them.

Well, snuggle up with a good book or a bunch of stamps, paper and ink and a cup of something hot, and enjoy your day.

Blessings,

Sue
