A Double Challenge and Paper Piecing

 Hey Everybody,

Today's card is for two challenges. The first is for Judi for the Teapotter's challenge today. It is also for the House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge found here.

Judi loves sweets and I couldn't think of anything sweeter than a chocolate cupcake. YUM! This House Mouse fellow was with the cupcake. He was supposed to be flying in the air jumping to the cupcake. I fussy cut him and made him close to landing on the cupcake instead.

The cupcake was stamped on white and designer series paper. I cut the designer series paper and added it to the image. I colored the images with Copic Markers and added clear wink of stella to make the frosting sparkle.

I popped the mouse up so he'd look like he was just about to land in the luscious frosting!. The image panel was die cut as was the next panel. The peach pie card base was dry embossed and I added more designer series paper to highlight the paper piecing.

I took the sentiments from one of my favorite Unity Stamps-The outside says, Hello Lovely, the inside says, One gentle step at a time is enough. You matter more than you know. This is one of my favorite sets for my Card Ministry at a local hospital. They supply a card on dinner trays for patients. I love these types of sentiments for those cards.
I'm praying this lifts Judi's spirits.

I enjoy doing paper piecing with designer series papers. Here are some samples from over the years.

As you can see, you can paper piece just about anything.  Maybe you'll give it a try. It's easy, just stamp the image you want on designer series paper and cut it out and cover the plain image on your cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you give paper piecing a try.
Blessings,
Sue
