More Challenge Cards

 Hey Everybody,

I'm continuing to work on challenges on Splitcoast and have a few more cards to show you.

Our challenge is to make a card with a scene depicting a person, critter or fictional character doing some activity unique to Fall or Winter or the holidays of the season. I knew right away I wanted to use this little guy. Isn't he the cutest thing?

I stamped in Memento tuxedo black ink then colored with Copic Markers. I added Wink of Stella to the lights and the word, light. This will go on a dinner tray at a local hospital.

Paper: white, poppy parade, Hobby Lobby-Winterland Cabin designer paper
Paper Size: A2
Ink: memento tuxedo black, evening evergreen
Accessories: Copic Markers, Wink of Stella
Techniques: coloring

Our challenge was have at least one diagonal on your card. You may keep it within the realm of fall or winter, but I'm going to make it easy and give you more freedom, so any occasion that you need a card for, any colors. Your diagonals can be paper, stamps, dots, piercing, sewing, embellishments, folds, etc. Make it yours and have fun.
I started with an adhesive sheet and added 1/2" designer paper strips to make a herringbone background. You can find the tutorial here.

I stamped then colored my image with Copic Markers then fussy cut it. I added it to designer paper then used dimensionals to add the image and sentiment to the card base.

Stamps: Whipper Snapper-Turkey Frame, Blessed
Paper: white, assorted retired SU designer papers
Paper Size: A2
Ink: memento rich cocoa, cajun craze
Accessories: scissors, Copic Markers, dimensionals, Softly Woven 3D embossing folder, adhesive sheet
Techniques: Herringbone background, dry embossing

Our challenge is to make a scrapbook layout or a card and use a LARGE word with some leaves. This works for any fall and even winter pages and cards.
As a scrapper I love lots of pictures on my pages and I often forget a title, well this challenge will change that!
Once I found the designer paper I looked for a set of stamps that had leaf dies. I ran the dies through my machine then colored them with different colors of blending brushes. I put adhesive on the back of the sentiment then added the leaves. I added dimensionals to pop if up. I added it to the designer paper and card base layers.

Well, it's been a busy weekend. Friday night I taught a card class. Saturday I helped my son at a sport card show along with my grandblessing.
Then I came home rested, had dinner and worked on some cards while I listened to The Cleveland Guardian play the Tampa Bay Rays here in Cleveland. We lost so the series is tied at 2-2.
Sunday the Cleveland Browns play at 1 p.m. and the Guardians play again at 5. Both teams are at home. Should be interesting downtown trying to get in and out of stadiums.

Sunday is a day off, then back to activities planned on the calendar.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope one of these techniques appeals to you.
See you again soon.
Blessings,
Sue
