When was the last time you gave thanks for simple things in your life? We do nightly prayers with kids and praise God for what He's done for us. I got to thinking though what would I call a simple thing in my life? Not sure....but remember when life was simpler? We weren't so hurried, stressed and rushed all the time? Supposedly all these appliances are supposed to give us MORE time with our family, not LESS time! We seem to spend more time on the things that are supposed to save us time....how long do you spend on your, computer, ipod, phone, cell phone? Yup, sometimes the time savers are time wasters when it comes to spending time with family and people who are important in our lives. So today I'm looking at my world through the eyes of a child and hope to get a simpler view of my world. Take time to smell the flowers.....and read your Bible.
This is a card I made just to experiment with this set. I've had it sitting around on the shelf and thought before fall leaves us, I should use it! The pumpkins are watercolored with wwc and an aqua painter. The sky is sponged with soft sky and bashful blue. The ground was sponged with brown. I masked the pumpkins so I could sponge the sky and ground. Groovy Guava for the bg of the card and I put it through the Cuttlebug to give it texture. I wanted a lone sunflower plant to stand out here to make it look like 'the simple thing'.
This is a place where I can share my love of family, stamping and the Lord.
