I was thinking about how lately it's been hard to stay awake to post on my blog because I'm so tired from my day. It reminded me of a picture I have of my first born, Ben who as a 2 year old came home from daycare one day and fell asleep standing up. Of course he had his thumb in his mouth, so that's all he needed! LOL Here's a picture of my little one Ben when he was 2.
All of this reminded me of how in my walk with the Lord sometimes I fall asleep with the comforts of my life and forget to praise Him, pray to Him, or even get my quiet time with Him. Things just seem too busy some days. I need to be refreshed and renewed daily by reading my Bible. I need to take time to be still and know that He is there. I need to take time to listen to what God has to say to me. I gave control to Him years ago, it's time to renew that commitment to Him and work on getting my relationship close like it once was. That's the desire of my heart today.....that and a nap..!
