So yesterday I gave myself a challenge to appreciate my husband in spite of how I was feeling. Well, I think I was truly blessed because I got into that "I don't want to", mode and truly just wanted to go back to sleep and do whatever I decided I wanted to do when I got up. I was challenged and took the challenge....My DD and I went to church at the earlier service when she has her youth group activities. My hubby and DS go to the later service because that's when DS's youth group meets. The kids both have the youth pastor who is fabulous which makes going to church separately a good thing. Anyway...we went to church and saw people we needed to see. We saw that hubby had started his laundry so we continued it through the process. Made coffee and delivered some to hubby who was reading in his favorite chair. Even helped with dinner, which is hubby's job on weekends. I cook during the week with kids since we get home first. Hubby does weekends.
Anyway I felt that my mood was changed because of my attitude to serve someone else. Who would have thought that serving someone else would improve my mood? LOL I know this from other things I've done for others. The Bible says when we take our eyes off of ourselves and put it on God and others, our life is changed.
I hope you can challenge yourself to do something for someone else even if you don't feel like it.
See what happens........
Here are two cards I'm playing around with for the PTA president to use as thank yous for people who help with PTA projects. I need something that is quick and easy to do. What do you think?
This is a place where I can share my love of family, stamping and the Lord.
