Deja Vu and Woodworking Too!
My almost 13 year old went back to his former school to watch their team play basketball. What could be better than watching you ask? Why playing of course! The team that his school was to play, didn't show up, so the coach asked for volunteers to play a scrimmage against the school team. Ben was in his glory getting to play again. He did pretty well also with a 2 pointer and a 3 pointer.
We've begun the process of refinishing the basement. We've lived here 8 years finally we're ready to have this done. It should be done in a week or so. I can't wait to see what it looks like. We're doing pictures each step of the way so we'll have before, during and after pictures. They have started framing the basement to hand drywall. That should be done Monday.
Saturday the electrician did a lot of wiring. It's wonderful to be doing this, we can let him know how many outlets we need and not have to run extension cords here and there. The noise is horrible, but the results will be wonderful!
My kids and I have been working on reading our Bible each day in a way that works for each of us. It's interesting that my DS came home from his small group at church and said they were talking about that tonight as well. In DS's devotional that we read each night it has been talking about this for the past two nights.......It's so interesting how God works isn't it?
I haven't heard anything about my friend, Lynn. Last I heard was that anyone who wanted to see her should do it. She wasn't able to speak or recognize anyone. So sad to watch someone go like this. Please pray for her and her family, there's not much time.

I am keeping Lynn's family in my prayers. That is so agonizing, just waiting.
How exciting you're getting your basement finished. I bet the kids can hardly wait. We invested in a comfortable, fun place where our kids could bring their friends over to play computer games, ping pong, pool, etc. Now our home has become the haven for many, and happily I always know where my kids are. I stay out of their way when they've got their friends here, but I can tell by the noise, they're here. ;)
You'll have to let me know if the guys doing your basement are any good! hee hee
