Seems Like Forever

We continue to be very busy with work, school and our basement project. We just shopped for wallpaper. I can't believe how much I missed stamping! I stamped Friday evening and was chomping at the bit to stamp again! I got to do two challenges in one with this card. I love the heart pocket from Splitcoast stampers challenge yesterday. So I combined it with the color challenge today which was rose red, sage, and apricot. At first all I could see in my head were roses.......I still may make them. I also wanted to try to make a Valentine that wasn't red, pink, purple, you know the typical colors of valentines. So this is what I came up with. Hope you like it.

And the basement project moves on. The 'mudder' is here. The guy who covers the dry wall seams and nail holes is in the basement working on creating gorgeous walls for us. He's truly a talented guy. Not only that, he's a Christian! God continues to surround us with Christians who are dedicated to serving Him and us.

So, I've been blessed with some very special time with my almost 13 year old son, Ben. In his youth group they have encouraged the kids to read the Bible and have put together a simple program to help them do that. My son asked me if I'd like to do that with him. So each night we read a chapter and talk about it then apply it to our lives. It's been an incredible time of sharing for both of us. God is working in his heart. Ben's working through a huge transition from a small private school to a HUGE, public middle school. This youth group is giving him the anchor he needs to deal with every day life in his middle school. I praise God for giving Ben this pastor and youth group to grow in his knowledge of God.
I hope you are blessed by the one who made you. Until we cross paths again, blessings and hugs.

That is wonderful!!! There will come a time when Ben will feel more distant, but that is a normal transition and its just as hard on him. But having a good youth minister to bridge the gap between the kids and the parents is literally a God send. I thank God for ours all the time. He keeps our 16 year old so excited about church and so close to us. Btw, I LOVE the colors on the card!

I wanted to comment on how great it is that GOD is making special time for you and your son the learn more about HIM, and growing you and your son together!! I am a newer christan. Just a year ago i had not even really heard the word, or even picked up the BIBLE!! Never knew so many people live for him. So when I com across people, it is so nice. I like ready your page. You show you live for him in everyday!! It's an insperation to me. As i do struggle everyday with his word and the world!! But HE does work in wonderful ways! I just wanted to thank you for you blog page and the insperation of knowing I am not alone. Sometimes i feel alone as my husband is not a christan and he says he belives, but will not talk about it with me. But i do belong to a WONDERFUL church!! THANK YOU!! AND my GOD bless you and your family!!
