Sarah's First Cake and Card Ministry

Well, this is week 2 for cake decorating. Sarah practiced what she learned to decorate her first cake! She was spending the night at a friend's house, so she took this to share with their family. This was perfect because the mom in that house does cake decorating for a living so she appreciates the effort Sarah made.
We have 4 more weeks to this class. The last class we'll decorate a 3-tier cake! Next week Sarah will decorate her second class and make it for her brother who turns 13 Saturday! Yikes! Where has that time gone!?

Our Card Ministry met again Friday and made 75 Easter cards for the widows/widowers of the church. Here are the three we did. I wanted to do a card that was a little different in shape. So I made the first one like a tag. This card was one we fixed when the stamper made a mistake stamping the cross image. We cut out another cross image and put it on top with dimensionals. It looks so nice raised like that. We didn't want to cut out 25 of these though!
The second card in brown was to demonstrate the Cropodile embossing and the small Cuttlebug embossing templates.
The third card is more for the guys.......I wanted something simple but with a little bit of color. So I used Coral and added a thin stripe from a scrapbook kit from SU that's retired. It was just enough color to add to this card I think. We used the Cropodile on the corners here again, too.
