1st Blizzard in 15 years

So with Friday and Saturday being days of the first blizzard we've had in 15 years, I was able to get some stamping done. I am trying to find some cards I like for Card Ministry this Friday.

I'm trying to work on masculine cards for Card Ministry as well. I came across of of my SU 6x6 paper and thought it might be great to stamp on, so I did. I used my new stamps and colored with markers right on the design paper. I also used my new Cuttlebug folder which I think lends itself really well to masculine cards.

Here are two stamped baby cards. Not sure I'll use these since there is so much to do for a card as far as cutting out the scallops and card itself. We'll see what I can come up with.

So much to be thankful for. We were safely brought home through the blizzard Friday after work. I kept my hands on the wheel (Jesus Take The Wheel, DID come to mind to sing!) and I just prayed the whole way home that I'd get there without being in an accident.
It's amazing what people do when it's like this outside. I had a woman pass me doing 35 talking on her cell phone while she changed lanes and zoomed past me. The people ahead of me in the curb lane were doing 20 because of all the snow in the street. The crews couldn't keep up at all with the snow coming down. I'm glad that I'm only 10 minutes from home.
Everything here was canceled for Friday and Saturday. Today most churches were closed as well. However the sun came out and started to melt bits of the snow. However we have 12-15 inches on the ground.

The kids loved playing in it tonight. They played snowball baseball! What fun to watch! Sometimes it seems like being a kid is FAR better than being a grown-up. Of course then you talk to the kids and they say it looks like being a grown-up is by far BETTER than being a kid. If they only knew..............

Thanks for visiting our neck of the woods. Please pray for my friend Val. She is having surgery on her right knee Tuesday. Bless you and may you be reminded of how much you're loved each and every day you live. Your maker, God loves you more than you can even imagine! Incredible isn't it? Sometimes I have a hard time imagining that too.
Hugs until our next meeting.

Cute cards! I especially love the baby ones, especially the scallop edging, but just think, the recipient will probably save it in the baby book. :D
