I so needed a stamping day so Friday and Saturday I made cards. Of course VSN was this weekend, so I made card after card after card. I truly enjoy the different challenges and fit the weekly challenges in when I can after work.
Well this weekend, it seemed like when I read the challenges they fell in place for me. Kinda like someone else was doing them. I had lots of fun doing these.
This was a fun card to make. It seemed to go quickly once I got all the tape on the card! LOL
I brayered with navy then stamped with black a picture of a map, but you can't see it very well. I love the look of navy and silver so I stamped the ship in silver ep and wrapped silver cord around by apricot and navy squares
This was a fun challenge. I punched the border out of the paper and layered it on the amethyst cardstock. The little girl has two different amethyst patterns in her dress. The top part and her socks are paisley, while the bow and bottom part of her dress are white dots. The background of the image is colored with copic marker as well as the grass. The flowers are yo-yo marker. Dimensionals are under the large amethyst flowers and small eggplant flower. Hope you like her.
I like working with red/black. I stamped floral background in black in ink on real red paper. The rose is stamped in black ink on white paper and colored with a blender pen. It was masked and stamped around it with gray ink using a cotton ball. The flowers were made by using the piece left over after I punched out flowers. I added the circles with sayings in the center and put them on dimensionals.
Did you ever have a card just fall into place? Well, this one did from the time I decided I wanted to use my brown ribbon.......I used the colors in the design paper for the circles. I used different sized punches to make sure each flower had each color in it. I used my rub-ons on the ribbon too.
This was another card that I knew right away what stamp set I wanted to do for the challenge. I stamped the flower in black and colored it in ink with the blender pen. I used afternoon tea paper and edged with black paper. I layered the ribbon across the flower and applied the rub ons . The cracked glass was rubbed with sky ink once cracked.
I had to experiment a bit with the large oval punch and the corner punches. I like the border they create.
Cuttlebug bg then petals stamped and cut out using the large oval punch.
This was a quick, easy card to make. I had the image stamped on shiny cardstock so I took daubers one by one and colored this picture. Then I added paper from At Home scrapbook kit and I was done. It was a quick and easy card.
This was a fun challenge once I decide to use Rose Cottage paper. I cut the largest circle with the coluzzle then mounted two circles from the scrapbook kit on this then a flower from the pretties kit and another circle on top. A brad holds the flower to the card. There is a dimensional under the flower. The bottom circle has pomegranate and wasabi roses and leaves. I used rub ons for the words.
This card was a fun one to make........then I found out it was for a mini challenge that happened a month ago! Sheesh........Oh well, I made it so I'm gonna post it. It's made with Kitchen Sink Stamps Roses and Hearts.
This is the baby wipe technique used on the flowers. The vase was stamped on Island Blossoms dp and added to the card. The background is the baby wipe I used for the challenge. The word Friend, is rub ons from SU. My Sakura gel pen is in the center of the flowers and on the rub ons.
This is a gorgeous Sunflower card Hope sent me. Isn't she the nicest person? She knows I love sunflowers and needed something bright and cheery.
Thanks Hope!
So here we are at the end of my VSN challenges. I couldn't do more since I had other things to do this weekend. Our weather was just gorgeous. Warm temperatures, sunshine, my kind of weather. I am so thankful that God continues to give me more than I could ever hope for. How about you? Are you appreciating what God's given you today?
Think about those talents you have...........how are you using them?
Thanks for stopping by.....see ya soon.
Blessings and Hugs,
This is a place where I can share my love of family, stamping and the Lord.
