Ya Know What I'm Noticing?

It's pretty interesting, as I was going through the pictures I uploaded today, I noticed that I've used lots of bright and pretty colors. I'm not surprised though because I know that God is in control of my life and He knows what I need better than I do. I didn't realize what colors I was using though until I put them all together here. Our God is an awesome God isn't He?

This first card is a calla lily stained glass look, stamp from rubber necker. I used black embossing powder to make it more like stained glass. I colored it with wwc and an aquapainter. The background is a combined cuttlebug experiment. I rolled the card half-way with one background, and backed it out, then rolled it half-way with the other background. I love the sunny summer sun cardstock behind the flower panel. It's just what I needed on a dreary Ohio day.

I was having fun with my cuttlebug so I tried putting my image through the bug before I colored it. It gave it a dimension all its own. I added a rub-on for the saying and there you are. The flowers were colored with markers. It was run to color the bumps in this card!

So I look at SCS and see that it's another VSN weekend and started with this challenge where you had to find stamps that looked sketched. I love this set, especially this one with the two little girls. I reminds me of days with my twin when we were young. I did paper piecing for the dresses with the pretty summer paper in the new SU mini. The background was brayered and the girls were colored with marker. I used a cotton ball around the girls and on the sand. I drew a line and wanted the image and back ground to blend together. I got it to do that a little bit. I was afraid to draw my own grass at first. So this photo doesn't show the grass and it looks a little strange. I'll post the picture after I was brave enough to draw. I almost got my 11 year old DD to do it for me! LOL

So I'm on a roll with the challenges and pick another one...This card was a fun one to make........then I found out it was for a mini challenge that happened a month ago! Sheesh........Oh well, I made it so I'm gonna post it. It's made with Kitchen Sink Stamps Roses and Hearts.

This was for another challenge on VSN where you had to make a purse from a paper bag. I love making these bags and wanted to add a fold-over top to it. The purse closes with a small dot of velcro under the brad. The rose was stamped with black stazon. The image was colored with wwc and a blender pen. The rose was masked then I stamped around the rose with a cotton ball and bashful blue. I like the texture I got, almost like clouds.

This was for Friday's SCS challenge where you had to use one and one other color...that's it.
I was feeling blue tonight and knew I needed my sunflowers. I haven't stamped with them in a while so I stamped off for the first layer then full strength for the inside layer. I used white ink and embossed with white ep for the center of the flowers and the leaves for the background. The sunflowers were punched out using the scallop punch. I used SU rub-ons for the tag. Thanks Jen for the fun and sunny challenge. I feel better now!

This is the baby wipe technique used on the flowers. The vase was stamped on Island Blossoms dp and added to the card. The background is the baby wipe I used for the challenge. The word Friend, is rub ons from SU. My Sakura gel pen is in the center of the flowers and on the rub ons.

You know, the more I stamp the more I see God at work. I am still surprised at what I keep learning each and every day. I don't know why, you'd think by now I'd know to expect something wonderful but I guess sometimes I'm a slow learner....LOL
God takes care of us every second of every day. He loves us more than the most special person in our lives. That is amazing to me how 'bout you? Take care of yourself today and walk in wonder at all that the Lord does for you in your life. I will definitely do the same!
Blessings and thanks for visiting today.
