Speaking of summer, look what I got in the mail from MariLynn. Isn't this the cutest card? I love the seeds of the watermelon. She wanted me to enjoy my going back to work so she sent this so I'd know she was thinking of me. Wasn't that sweet? Thanks MariLynn, it made my day.
Our school district hands out student schedules which have supply lists with them. We just got these yesterday so we were out today in the hustle and bustle driving to THREE stores to get everything both kids needed. I still have to take DS for clothes but he's easier than DD by far!
I was exhausted today after running to three stores. I actually took a little nap while I was watching the baseball game. DS and his youth group went to the baseball game today so we thought we watch a little of it too.
Off to work on the challenge for today. I get to rip paper!

This is for Ways to Use it 180 where you had to tear paper on your card. This is a card for my DS for tomorrow when we celebrate Kid's Day. We do this each summer before school starts. It's an appreciation for all they do around the house. I give them little tickets that are good for things for this day only. The paper around the truck was cut with the scallop punch. I like the different effect I was able to get doing this.

This is Sarah's card for Kid's Day. She colored the elephant a while ago and I decided to use it for her card. I used the flowers and berries from Always. Love You is the decorator paper I used. I used the scallop punch to make the cut outs for the elephant and the piece behind the elephant.

Thanks for stopping by today.

I understand your daughter's pain. Its not like the old days when you had a favorite player and he stayed with that team. Today's players get traded so often its hard to keep them all straight. (We're Yankee fans here, so we're happy with the trade.) Love her room.
