Christmas In September

I have finally gotten some time to myself to stamp! Can I hear an AMEN out there! We've been in school 4 weeks and it seems like it's been all consuming! I am beginning to see the light of day and it's a wonderful feeling. I truly miss doing the daily challenges and commenting on all of the cards made for the challenges. I also found that after a short period of time, I get agitated that I can't stamp I guess like and addict. I need the time to unwind and enter my own world, very often in my week and I'm crabby without it! LOL
Anyway, God has been working in my life this week. He's been showing me that I need to concentrate on what I've been asked to do without stress and upset. I've been handed several LARGE challenges lately and the last one I just gave to God right away. I know that my health is more important and I need to just give these things to Him and pray about how to get through them.
I truly enjoyed the chance to stamp last night and here's what I came up with.
I used ruby red cardstock and ran it through the cuttlebug. The image stamped on white was surrounded by hunter green with hunter ribbon under it. I added red berries with puff paint. This was a quick, easy card.

This was a fun set to work with. This was the second card I made with this set. I stamped with versamark and embossed with gold detail ep. The gold paper is from Hollos, a local paper supply store. I used the gold paper around the edge of the tree for a hint of color and on the edge of the card. The Hunter edge was cut with the scallop border and run through the cuttlebug. I added the red ribbon, then the red image and words using the stamp-a-ma-jig.

Today has been a beautiful day here in NE Ohio. Fall is in the air, the leaves are turning and it's getting dark so early. I guess tomorrow is the first day of fall too.....I like the cool weather but not the prospect of snow. Of course with that comes snow days! I LOVE snow days!
I hope that you continue to trust in the Lord and be all that He wants you to be. Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit. I hope to go and stamp some more for you to see.
Bless you,
