This is the white corn which was begin ground. It came down through the pipe and would fall down a hole to the grinding stones.
The top stone is the only one which moves. The two grinding stones each weight 2300 lbs.
This is the flour that was ground from the corn. It is bagged by hand and sold in the mill. The mill also sells to individuals and has local contracts for their products. The two restaurants next door were supplied from the mill as well.
Another place we went today was a pottery shop that I'd seen online that used leaves in their designs.
They also drew on the clay when it was wet and cut out around the leaves and the scenes they'd drawn. It was gorgeous pottery. Would love to go back again sometime to get a few lamps.
Another cool thing about this shop is you could watch the people make the items from clay. It has always fascinated me at the talent needed to do this.
Saw this yesterday and loved Tim Tebow's response to criticism.
I also liked these when I saw them.
This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24
Thanks for stopping by.Blessing of the day: Got to see the Artists shops and learn and see how grains are ground. Got to spend time with my family at these places.
