Last Day of Christmas Vacation

The Simple Woman's Daybook

I can't remember the last time I wrote this, so here goes:

The Simple Woman’s Daybook FOR TODAY January 2, 2013

Outside My Window...it is dark once again. It is staying lighter, longer.

I am thinking...that I have one more day of Christmas Vacation. I think I'll spend it in PJ's!

I am thankful for...God in my life who continues to involve me with many Christian friends.

From the kitchen...all is quiet, now that kids have gone to the second floor.

I am wearing...pj's, socks and a hoodie.

I am creating...some items I found online, including fun January and February candy ideas.

I am going...to do nothing but things for me today on my last day of Christmas Vacation.

I am reading...a book called Freefall. I finished it this morning.  Now to books on my Kindle.

I am hoping...and praying that our kids realize how much they are loved.

I am hearing...Ben play his guitar quietly upstairs so he doesn't wake Tim.

One of my favorite things...is getting lost in stamping projects like today.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:Back to Work Thursday, Dinner with a Pastor and his wife about a missions trip Ben will take and taking down Christmas stuff Saturday.
Here is a video I thought were worth sharing .

Here are some things I've been making last night and today.

Take a look at Qbee's amazing tutorial on how to make this heart! It's truly awesome! http://qbeesquest.blogspot.com/2013/...nes-heart.html

Instead of adding an arrow to mine, I added SU's Delicate Details Lace Tape, new in tomorrow's catalog. I only had Christmas Kisses so I have two green kisses in there instead of silver and red. Thank you Brenda for this fantastic project! I will be able to make lots to see to benefit The Ronald McDonald House here in Cleveland.
Found directions for these here:http://pinterest.com/bensarmom/stamp...-and-projects/

I used SU stamps and cut out a 1" circle of red glitter paper and added them to the nuggets on the top and front.

Here's the last fun project I did today. I used a retired flower wheel and pixie pink ink for the background and rose red ink for the words. I used address labels to stamp on, then added them to the nuggets. I made a topper and stamped Hugs on top and added a heart using the red glitter paper and the heart punch.
I found directions here for these. http://kardsbykadie.blogspot.com/201...ubmission.html

However I drew the face with markers instead of using googley eyes. I also used multi-colored pom-poms for the hats.

Blessing of the Day:I got to read and stamp and spend the day in PJ's.
Thanks for dropping by.
Blessings,

Elf Shoe Cards

I saw a sample of these cards when a friend gave me cards for Southwest Hospital this month. Thank you Louise for sharing this idea with me....
