Simple Woman's Daybook May 14, 2014

Simple Woman's Daybook  May 14, 2014
It's been a while since I've posted one of these so here goes.

The Simple Woman's Daybook-May 14, 2014

Outside My Window...it is dark and raining-STILL.  It's supposed to rain the rest of the week.  I went to Strongsville to deliver an order and many tree lawns had carpeting and furniture on them.  Lots of homes in that area had flooding in the basement.

I am thinking...that I got lots of cards made today.  Feeling so good about that.

I am thankful for...God's protection through the storms we've had recently and for the storms in my life.

From the kitchen...all is quiet for the night.  I have to make my lunch to volunteer the whole day tomorrow.

I am wearing...a t-shirt, jeans, socks and shoes.......so sad to have to wear shoes and socks.  Yesterday the temperature was 87 degrees!  Go figure!

I am creating...lots of cards to send to Operation Write Home and The Ronald McDonald House here in Cleveland.

I am going...to volunteer tomorrow all day then I'll meet Brenda for dinner at Panera.

 I am reading...an Amish mystery.

I am hoping...God continues to guide Ben and Rachel and that they are focused on Him and what He wants for them.

I am hearing...the Christian music from my laptop which is an encouragement to me.

One of my favorite things...is reading my Bible and having coffee on the screened in porch.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:Volunteer all day Friday, going to our In Home Bible Study Friday evening, Having Jan and Jane over Saturday to stamp and laugh.

Here are some pictures I thought were worth sharing...One of my favorite things to see is a sunrise or sunset.   It's the time of day that God brings so many colors into play in the sky.  His pallet of colors is amazing.  It's so amazing that it can't be captured as we see it.
Sometimes it's hard to stay positive and close to God.  Sometimes I have doubts that interrupt my connection with God.  When I am tired it's so easy for Satan to grab me and tell me all sorts of lies that I sometimes believe.  I need to stay focused on God and his word so that I can continue to do what God needs me to do.
Thank you God that I can talk to you like any other dear friend I have.  It's that easy to talk to you.  You are always with me.  Help me to remember that.  Help my family members who don't know you yet.
Here's a card I made with the new colors from Stampin' Up.  I used the Lovely Lace set and Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss, and Mossy Meadow.  I took a piece of Blackberry and cut a border on both sides then dry embossed it.  I added a rhinestone to the flower center.

This is the card I made for the sketch challenge today.  I borrowed Jane's sunflower to make some cards.  I tried to buy this stamp yesterday but it's sold out.  I had years to buy it and now that I can't buy it I find I love it!  Sheesh............
This is a line in the song by Capital Kings that really spoke to me.
Your Love Makes Me Want To Give My All........................
Isn't God's love amazing?  He loves us in spite of ourselves.  He loves us when we sin continuously.  He loves us in our times of unbelief.  He loves us when no one else does.  He loves us when we don't love our self. He loves us in spite of our denying him.  He loves us in spite of everything we do to separate ourselves from him.  We don't deserve anything from Him, yet due to his mercy we receive so much.

I hope you enjoy this song and it gives you inspiration to continue on in spite of your hardships.

Blessing of the Day: Tim making cards for others to enjoy.
Thanks for taking time to stop by today.
Blessings,
