Cards and Simple Woman Time

The Simple Woman’s Daybook

FOR TODAY July 1st, 2014

Outside My Window...I can see beautiful flowers soaking up the mid-day sun.

I am thinking...there isn't much that is more beautiful than God's creations like flowers, sunrises/sunsets and beaches.

I am thankful for...Sarah and Tim's help getting ready for Ben and Rachel's arrival Thursday.

From the kitchen...all is quiet as all are gone.

I am wearing...flip flops which are my favorite summer shoe.

I am creating...cards with a new stamp set called, Work of Art, that just arrived today.

I am going...to bed soon.

I am reading...another Amish book.

I am hoping...to get a few more things done tomorrow like cleaning the carpeting with the machine tomorrow.  Actually I have to get the machine working first! LOL

I am hearing...beautiful Christian music on Air1.com

Around the house...things are clean and quiet.

One of my favorite things...walking past Annabelle the cat, and having her meow and prance around trying to get me to go in Sarah's room and give her treats to eat.  I swear those things are addictive!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:continuing to prepare for Ben and Rachel's arrival Thursday and getting ready for our July 4th picnic.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...
This picture shows how I labeled my Blendabilities markers from Stampin' Up.

This is a card I made using sunset colors, then the watercolor thank you stamp.
This was for Monday's technique challenge. I put versamark on waxed paper after it had been crumpled up then opened. Then I rubbed the ink onto cardstock and embossed with clear embossing powder.  Then I applied ink with a dauber.
This is a technique challenge card as well.  I crumpled up wax paper then stamped with it dipped in versamark.  Then card was embossed with clear ep and inked with a dauber.

Blessing of the Day: We got the shopping done for Friday, and got the new screens into the frames and hung back up.
Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
