I came across this verse the other day and it made me stop and think. How many of us praise God for all of the things we have? How many of us praise God for things we didn't get? Many times we are fixed on the negative in life and spend time complaining about all of the things that go wrong.
Think about how we relate to one another. Do we come up to people or family and say, "I'm praising God for such and such." More often than not, we groan and complain about our day, how we're feeling, people who ticked us off at work, in the car, or on the way home.
I saw another sentence that said, "What if today you woke with all that you thanked God for yesterday?" "What would you have?"
I am going to work on this in my daily life. Think of how you feel when you complain. It's not a good feeling. It is momentarily if your friend or family member participates in the negativity and complains too. After that though, what have you got?
I want to see what happens if I praise God for things. Will my friends and family do the same?
I belong to a group of stampers called, Crafters of Faith on Splitcoaststampers. Each month someone chooses a Bible verse and we make cards using the verse as inspiration.
This month was my month to host. The verse I chose is my life verse, Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight.
I have had several occasions where I have said to God, "If you don't want me to be married, okay I'll be single. If you don't want us to have children, my step-daughter is enough."
When I finally set my heart's desire down and told God I was ready to live with His will not mine, amazing things happened.
A month after I said I'd be single if God wanted me to be, I met my future husband. A few months after we said no kids, okay, we were pregnant with our first child.
This verse continues to come up in my life. I cling to it.
I stamped the image in black, then sponged the colors onto the paper. Then I colored the butterflies with yellow wink of stella.
This video is very different for me. However, it deals with God's Plan. The man named Drake took the million dollars he got to make the video and gave it away to those in need in Florida. There are amazing people doing God's work all over the world.
Blessing of the Day: I got to see a dear friend and stamp. DH took the wallpaper off the walls in our half-bath on the main floor. He has a great steamer to do the wallpaper removal.
Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,

Oh Sue, what a beautiful scripture you've chosen for us and a beautiful post. Drake filmed that video not to far from here at a Miami high school (part of it!) so it was in the news for a good while! Such a stunning card - your contrast and colors make it really stand out! Thanks for your stewardship and being a wonderful part of the COF!
