This card is for Crafters of Faith June Challenge.
The hostess this month is Michelle, which means she was the one to choose the theme (based on a Scripture verse of her choosing, as well). Here is her challenge...
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Challenge: Keeping it simple with "feature butterflies on your project". I know how the summer months can be! And butterflies have always been a favorite of mine!
I stamped a border on two sides of the flowers. I added the sentiment then the fussy cut butterflies. The butterflies have clear wink of stella and the flower centers have yellow wink of stella.
I stamped the images with stazon ink then used ink and my aqua painter to color the flowers in highland heather. Once dry, I colored with gorgeous grape. I stamped with mango melody for the centers. I stamped the leaves in pear pizzazz then used my aqua painter to move the ink to color the leaves. I added the jewels to the flower centers.
I stamped a sentiment but cut off part of it for my card. I colored the white dotted ribbon with a copic marker then added it to my card. The image panel was added with dimensionals.
We've had some beautifully sunny days here. Chloe loves sleeping on this brick once it's heated. Both cats have a brick and sleep on it often. Who would have thought to get a brick for a cat to put her head on?
This little one finally jumped into the basket I left on the table for her. I was trying to get things ready for my classes Monday, and she started checking things out. Do you know how far a dauber can go once it bounces to the floor and has a cat chasing it?
She also began to choose which ribbon she wanted and almost had it in her mouth! Then she sat down right on the paper I was working with. I use an OTT light which is like the sun to her, so she justs lays down and goes to sleep.
She stretches out on my desk as though no one else was using the desk. It's a good thing she's so sweet and cute, ya know?
Verse of the Day: 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Blessing of the Day: I got to meet two dear friends for lunch. One has just arrived in the area from Florida where she lives 5 months of the year. We can get together as though no time has passed at all. I cherish our friendship that God brought together.
We got to see Ben and his 7 year old. They picked Tim ups and they got Tim's Dad and went to lunch together.
The pool opens tomorrow! Tim worked overtime to get the pool set up, the deck and even the blow-up toys. I love that man.
Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
