Stampin' Up is holding a 24-hour sale, October 23rd. Select stamp sets are on sale. Any chance to save $ is worth it. Having fun choosing which sets you want.
There's nothing sweeter than enjoying a beautiful, sunny day and having the baby, Chloe jump up to join you. She doesn't often do this with me, so I took a picture.
While enjoying the morning outside, I had a little visitor. She sang a song, then just rested in the sun. God's creations are so beautiful.
This card was for the color challenge this week. Mary's challenge was to use daffodil delight, merry merlot and cajun craze. As soon as I saw the colors I knew I wanted to use Painted Harvest.
I stamped the first layer with daffodil delight. The detailed layer was cajun craze. The flower center was merry merlot. The flowers were my neutral color, mossy meadow.
After stamping the card, I added the banner sentiment. This will go to a friend who just lost a friend. So sad to lose anyone. I pray this make her feel a bit better to know she's being thought of and prayed for.
The challenge was to make a card using a stamping technique using dark paper.
Here is the video I watched to complete my card.
I stamped in versamark, the heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I colored trees with colored pencils to make them look like fall trees.
I added the burlap ribbon and the designer elements at the bottom.
Here is the link to the tutorial I used to make my card. Julie Davidson made hers pull to the left, I made my to the right. This is called, a hidden slider. Our challenge was to make a get well card.
The turtle was colored with colored pencils then added to the granny apple square. The crumb cake base was embossed with the hammered metal embossing folder. It reminded me of the turtle's shell. Then I used the tutorial to put my card together.
This is a beautiful reading and picture that my dear friend Val shared with me today. Susie Larson has so many wonderful readings to strengthen our relationship with God. I'm so blessed to have such a dear, Christian friend who shares these with me. Thank you Val.
Morning Blessing: May you open your hands and entrust your cares to God. Right this minute. Know this: Jesus knows your name, has your address, and loves who you are. He will get you where you need to go. He will reach out to the ones you love. He will validate and vindicate you at the proper time. May you see and believe that you're safest when you're at His feet, trusting Him to do what you cannot do for yourself. May your soul find rest in Him today. #SusieLarsonBlessings
Here's a song by Jeremy Camp that is new to me called, Only You Can. Give it a listen.
Blessing of the Day: I talked to my sister for 2 hours today. It was a time of non-stop conversation. It's been a while since we've talked like that. I am so thankful for this today.
Tim continues to make progress on the kid's bathroom. Looks like the next step is getting ready to put the new tub in.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Blessings,
