Check Out How To Make Simple and Beautiful Stamp, Ink and Paper Cards For Gifts

Today I came across a great video by Jackie Bolhuis; Klompen Stampers. One of her favorite ways to make cards is by using just stamps, ink and paper.  She calls it, S  I  P  card making.  I tried a few of her ideas tonight and got some beautiful results.

It got me thinking that I could make some inexpensive but beautiful and appreciated gifts for friends and family with this idea.

I made a set of four cards with matching envelopes for samples. I think I'll make several more sets of these to have on hand to give to others for the holidays or even a pick me up gift for someone feeling down.

The beauty part of this gift is that it can be made with Stampin' Up's Basic White Note Cards and Envelopes. You get 20 note cards and 20 envelopes for $10.00.  These note cards can be seen in the Annual Catalog on p.17.  The item number is 159232. Here is a link if you'd like to see them online.

They are smaller than our typical A2 card as you can see by the measurements below.

Product detail

20 cards and 20 envelopes. Ready for you to make and send a card. Cards are thicker cardstock, great for card bases. Folded card: 5" x 3-1/2" (12.7 x 8.9 cm). Envelope: 5-1/8" x 3-5/8" (13 x 9.2 cm). Acid free, lignin free. Product color: Basic White.

You might not even be aware that we have this size card and envelope available. It's easy to miss in the catalog.

Here is the set of sample cards I CASED from Jackie.  These cards were made with a piece of colored cardstock and a smaller piece of white cardstock which I stamped on. Those two pieces were added to the notecard.
If you have any questions, please contact me. I'm always happy to help.
Blessings,
Sue
