A "W" Fold Card

 Hey Everybody,

Today I have a card made with a brand new stamp set called, Impressions Abloom.  It is an Online Exclusive product found here.  This stamp set is a two-step stamp set. There is a regular stamp then a detailed stamp.

This card was modeled after a card made by Jackie Bolhuis. She called it the W card. You'll see why when the card is opened.

Jackie's video can be found here.

I used different colors and dry embossed the outside panels.  I also used a stamp on the front from the stamp set called, The Right Words. This can be found in the Annual Catalog.  I used a new embossing folder called, Damask Designs.

Two things I like about this card front is that it uses card stock to layer instead of designer series paper and It uses two panels instead of one to highlight the image.

Cardstock: pumpkin pie, early espresso, crushed curry, white, black

Ink: early espresso, old olive, pumpkin pie, crushed curry

The leaves have been stamped off once for the first stamp and stamped full strength for the detailed stamp.

Accessories: Damask Designs embossing folder

dimensionals

The inside of the card shows an 11" strip of white paper going from top to bottom. It is scored so it folds up when the card is closed. When the card is opened part way, that white strip looks like a W.

Did you notice that the inside of the card has designer series paper for a layer?  I don't typically do that in a card.
I still have to add embellishments to the inside but haven't decided which ones to use.

The designer series paper is 2024 Regals collection . This is on the Last Chance List for $8.75 while supplies last, instead of $12.50.
The newest set of Regals designer series paper is $12.50 and can be found here.  There are new patterns each year.

The color here is old olive.
There is a website I use to find great color combinations when I don't have designer series paper with different colors.  It is called, Color Lab. You can find it here.  It is so helpful when I have two colors I want to use and don't know what else will look good with them.

Well, I have to tell you that I enjoyed making this card. It did have a lot of pieces parts to it. It is also a bit bulky and might need extra postage if you want to mail it.
It's a great card that gives a Wow, factor.  Once your paper is cut it goes together very quickly.  Jackie's videos are easy to follow.

Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
Sue
