Today on Splitcoaststampers, the Free 4 All Challenge is this: Use Purple on your card. The challenge can be found here.

To make my background, I used the Bargello technique with paper found here. Bargello Technique Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers

After my panel was complete, I dry embossed it with the Layered Florals 3D embossing folder. I stamped the lavender and stems full strength, then a second time without reinking. I added the white and silver ribbon around the flowers then added it all to the card on the left side. I wanted the pattern of my paper to show. I stamped the sentiment with Have a Blessed Day from the stamped set, Unbounded Love.

I could have used a plain designer series paper background, but I wanted to change it up a bit so I looked in the tutorials at Splitcoaststampers to find something I could do with the background paper.
