Hey Everybody,
My card today features a technique called, The Camouflage Background. The tutorial can be found here.
I used brown and green inks. When I finished I thought it looked a bit like a turtle shell, so I stamped a turtle.
The mug was with the turtle set, so I stamped and colored it. So, my card became a coffee card so I went in search of coffee designer paper and a sentiment.
The sentiment was stamped on designer paper and added with a dimensional. The turtle and mug were added with dimensionals as well. It sure is interesting how cards get made in this house! LOL

I had not. When I was making this card it went one step at a time. I had no idea how this would end up looking. How do you make cards? Do you have a picture of what your card will look like when you begin?
Most often I don't have any idea and go idea by idea as I go along.
I have to add something not card related, but related to my husband's hobby of woodworking.
He made a charcuterie board for a shower gift for his daughter. Before he made hers, he practiced on other wood first. These are what he came up with for us. These have bean bag pillows under them so we can use them on our lap for dinner when we watch tv.
The center strip is poured acrylic. You add a color to the acrylic then pour it. The lines you see in the center strip are formed when the acrylic hardens. The lines you see in the other pieces are worm tracks that were made in the tree. He filled them in with colored acrylic.
Thanks for stopping by for a bit.
Stop by again soon.
Blessings,
Sue
