Virtual Stamp Nights and Little Plants

Hey Everybody, Can you believe it's February 1st already? Where did January go?  It's crazy how quickly these days go isn't it?

I am finally comfortably working in my new studio. I am finding things more quickly and remembering where I've put things.  I still have some fine tuning to do, but I'm able to work on cards and get the things I need easily.

Today I've been working on Card Challenges on Splitcoaststampers. I know I usually do that, but yesterday and today there was a Virtual Stamp Night with lots of challenges revolving around the Olympics. Take a look here.

I have some of the cards I made for Friday night's challenges.

Misti's challenge for us is a color challenge as a bonus before VSN begins. You can find the challenge here.
I stamped and colored my little guy and colored him green and red for the challenge which is red, white and green for the Italian flag. I added Wink of Stella to the heart and I added goggly eyes to add to his personality. Then I built the card base to put him on. The image panel is added with dimensionals.

Our challenge was to use just Stamps, Ink and Paper; the basics.
I stamped my image in Memento tuxedo black and colored her with Copic Markers. I added a night of navy layer behind the image. Those panels were added to designer series paper and then a navy card base. I stamped the sentiment and added it with dimensionals. This will go on a dinner tray at a local hospital.

Our challenge was to use snow. I stamped these cuties then colored them with Copic Markers and a Graph-O black marker. I stamped snowflakes in three different colors of blue. Next I stamped the sentiment in real red and cut it out. I added a wobbler spring behind the sentiment then added fun flock to the snowballs for a fun texture. This will go on a dinner tray at a local hospital.

Today I got to see my two grands. Some people call them grand children I heard a term I really liked and that's grand blessings.
Ben texted that if I wanted to come over for Silas snuggles, they'd be home all day.
I went and played with Mia for a while then I held and fed Silas. Boy can he eat! He ate over 4 oz. of formula. He eats for a bit then gets burped. Mia wanted to get my attention but I told her I had to burp Silas. We played a game. I told her to listen for his burp, then she could talk to me. She giggled and sat quietly so she could listen. She giggled again when she heard him burp.

Your forget when babies are a month old, they are all floppy and need to have their head held all the time, especially when you burp them.
I love looking at the baby after he has had his bottle. Sometimes he looks milk drunk with the cutest smile on his face.

Rachel got out to do some grocery shopping and other shopping. She really needed it. With everyone being home almost every day this week, she was going crazy not having any time or space to herself.

I have to show you the seeds Mia and I have growing in our kitchen. The tall plant in the back is a pea plant. See the runners looking for something to grab onto?  We planted tomatoes, strawberries, peas, cucumbers and green peppers. The only seeds we haven't seen growth on are the strawberries.
The plants are in peat pots and suspended in water with plant food. When they get big enough we'll transplant them. You should be able to leave them in their peat pod and let them grow in the water and pick the veggies or fruit right from the place where they are. There is a light that is timed so the seedlings have lots of light.

I was surprised how interested Tim is in this. He keeps checking them and when they all had their tops on, he'd check to see if there was a plant pushing on the plastic lid.

Well, tomorrow I have to decide what I will make for February card classes. I just got some new stamps that will be coming out in March as Online Exclusives. I'm glad we get a month to play with them before customers so we have answers to their questions about the new things.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Take care and stay warm.
Blessings,
Sue
