Eclipse Card and Poppies

 Hey Everybody,

This week's Featured Stamper is Kathy aka kmberger. you can find Nancy's challenge here.

Here is the card from Kathy's gallery I used as my inspiration.

I started with a piece of designer series paper that was 4" x 5 1/4". I cut it into 1/2" strips. Keep these strips in order so it's easy to assemble the card. I attached the first strip on the far left, then set the next strip next to it. I attached the third strip and set another strip next to that. I continued gluing every other strip onto the 4" x 5 1/4" piece of cardstock.
The pieces of designer series paper not attached had 5 dimensionals added to the back. They were added where they matched. The important thing is to keep them in the correct order.
I stamped the sentiment and boats. I die cut the boats, birds and lighthouse using the Sunset Coast Dies. I added the images to the background and added clear wink of stella to them. I cut the lighthouse free from the circle it was in and added it to the card.

Check out the video to see how to make this card.

I'm going to see what other kinds of designer series papers will work well for this type of card. How about you?  What do you have in your stash to make this card?

I just had to add a bit of a personal touch to this post. These are the beautiful poppies Tim has grown in our garden. I have loved poppies since I was a child. My mom had beautiful, tall red/orange poppies in the backyard. I absolutely loved them. I loved them so much, I've had them in each garden of every home I've owned.  Thanks mom for the beautiful memory today.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Blessings,
Sue
