So I've been working on the faux tile techniques that I found on SCS. The first one is CASED from lacyquilter
on SCS. She is amazing at what she can do with paper and ink! Anyway here is my card with floral background inked with brilliant blue, then versamark and clear embossing powder. Then the cs was cut into 1" squares or a tiny bit smaller to fit onto a standard size card. Squares were taped onto the white cardstock to look like small tile squares. The girls was watercolored with watercolor wonder crayons in brilliant blue, but a pale blue. The girl was versamarked and covered with clear ep also. Thanks lacyquilter. The second blue girl was done with the cutter I have with the scoring blade. I scored every half-inch both ways. Then I turned the paper over and stamped the floral bg on it in brilliant blue. I added versamark and clear ep on this as well. The girl was watercolored with wwc. Then I put two coats of extra thick embossing powder on it and put it in the freezer to make cracked glass.
The third blue card was made for the swirls challenge today on SCS. I used the swirls from Like it a Latte. Brilliant blue was used with the large swirls. White pigment ink was used for the small swirls. Orchid, Hunter green, blue and mustard were used in wwc to color the picture. Eyelets and brads were used as well.
